From invention disclosure to an approved DOCX.
You manage the Akte (case file), and the copilot checks, asks, and drafts. For patent attorneys, every step stays traceable as a version, a source, and a decision. Without Freigabe (sign-off), the system issues no DOCX export.

The workflow in seven steps.
Each step shows what you do and what the copilot does. The order follows the case file workflow.
- 01
Case file and invention disclosure
You
You open the case file and record the technical invention.
The copilot
The copilot structures the information and keeps it as the starting point of the case file.
- 02
Check completeness
You
You see the open points and decide what to clarify first.
The copilot
The copilot checks the information against a checklist and names missing points.
- 03
Clarify open points
You
You answer the prioritised questions.
The copilot
The copilot asks about the gaps and links your answers to the invention.
- 04
Generate the German draft
You
You read the draft and decide which formulations stay.
The copilot
The copilot writes Ansprüche (claims), description, and abstract and checks them for formal requirements.
- 05
Compare versions
You
You compare two states and restore an earlier state as a new version.
The copilot
The copilot keeps every save as its own version and computes the difference.
- 06
Approve a version
You
You review a specific version and approve exactly that version.
The copilot
The copilot records who approved the version and when, and binds the approval to that version.
- 07
Export DOCX
You
You start the export of the approved version.
The copilot
The copilot creates the DOCX file on request and records the export in the audit trail.
02 / 06
Approval is enforced by the server.
The same export, two answers. The server checks approval before the DOCX file can be exported.
Export without approval
GET /api/v1/anmeldungen/…/draft/versions/3/export.docx
403 Forbidden · Version 3 is not approved
Export with approval
GET /api/v1/anmeldungen/…/draft/versions/3/export.docx
200 OK · Content-Type: application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document
Approval: Dr. Marlene Beispiel, 2026-09-19 14:02, Version 3
The server checks approval. There is no detour through the interface.
The approval gate is described in ADR-040.
03 / 06
Reference library
The copilot can base the draft on your firm's own documents. This reference library belongs to your firm, and every passage it draws on is recorded on the version. The reference library is not a prior-art search.
04 / 06
Versions, diff, restore
Every save creates its own version. The diff view sets two versions side by side, and an earlier state can be restored as a new version. Nothing is overwritten.
05 / 06
Export
After approval, the system creates the DOCX on request. The sign-off record names the person, the time, and the version. The export is recorded in the audit trail, and the file itself is not stored on the server.
